Hi! I’m Anneke (“the Kiwi RD”), a registered dietitian offering one-on-one, virtual nutrition counselling across Ontario. I’ve specialized in vegan, vegetarian, and flexitarian diets since becoming a dietitian in 2017, and I’ve followed a vegan or vegetarian diet for most of my life. Many clients tell me that they feel pressure from dietitians or other healthcare providers to eat meat, dairy, or eggs, and are excited to find a dietitian who can help them without compromising their values and ethics. That’s what I’m here for!
I specialize in pregnancy, feeding babies and kids, plant-based diets, and managing chronic conditions, especially cardiovascular (heart) disease.
If you’re pregnant or planning a pregnancy on a vegetarian or vegan diet, come and talk to me so we can protect your health and your baby’s health, and make sure you’re getting everything you need. I also specialize in feeding babies and kids, so if you’re raising your kids vegan or vegetarian, I can support you with starting solids, helping them to get adequate nutrients like protein, calcium, and iron, and with navigating picky eating. If you’re managing a chronic condition or working to prevent a chronic condition, I can also support you with things like lowering your cholesterol, improving your liver health, or addressing gut issues. Even if you’re just not feeling your best, for example feeling extra tired, it’s worth investigating to see if dietary changes or supplements might help. Diet and nutrition are connected with so many different symptoms and conditions!
