I am a clinically-trained registered dietitian and have provided nutrition counselling and support to patients with weight issues and various chronic diseases. I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin (functional level). I am currently in private practice, offering in-person, home and online consultations. I also consult to a couple of medical offices
I have been vegan for 10 years. I am passionate about promoting sustainable, healthy and compassionate dietary choices. As such, I volunteer as a dietitian for several charitable organizations, including Toronto Vegetarian Association, Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank, and Challenge 22. In 2019, I was invited by the Canadian Liver Foundation to make a presentation on healthy eating in support of its initiative to promote liver health.
Whole-food plant-based (WFPB) eating has been proven to be effective in helping patient lose weight for the long term without counting calories. It also helps prevent, manage, and possibly reverse, various lifestyle diseases, such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and non-alcoholic fatty liver. Equally importantly, WFPB diets are kind to animals and the planet. It will be my absolute delight to break it down into bite-sized tidbits to help you add life to years and years to life. It is more pleasurable, affordable and sustainable than you think!
